@JohnPhilpin Hopefully.
@JohnPhilpin Yeah. So many sites are simply badly made in every way, period.
@kitt That looks really interesting.
@JohnPhilpin I'm already using moa to crosspost. I'd prefer to turn it off at some point to keep Twitter and Mastodon entirely separate.
That's why I'm hoping that micro.blog will at some point introduce Mastodon cross-posting that way my micro-blog would become the single source of truth for my posts and the conversational aspects of each social network would be kept separate.
@martinfeld Yeah, fingers crossed. It's still very usable and the battery's good so unless the OS releases go haywire in some way it should be good for a while.
@eli My pleasure. :-)
@eli Yeah. Same. Going the Crouton route is kind of a time suck.
@digitalscofflaw No worries. It's good to know it's on other people's radar as well. I might see if I can't find one to play with in a store downtown next weekend to see what it feels like.
@eli Thanks. :-)
@smokey Yeah, those sites are missing out on a big part of what makes blogs work.
@simon Yeah. Basecamp consistently comes up with interesting ideas. Which is probably the reason why I've had absolutely no success in selling any of my coworkers on using it :-P
@DrOct It's a really nice feature. Makes for better writing as well :-)
@kaa Yeah, this is definitely true. Broad grips don't work well for me either. But they sure do look nice. :-)
@bradbarrish I cross post to Mastodon via Twitter (using moa.party).
I do it becaues I generally get much more conversation around what I post on Mastodon than Twitter, despite it being smaller and despite having much fewer followers there.
@bradbarrish Thanks! It's a wonderful location as well. The new lighthouse (not pictured) has regular events, both art shows and mini-concerts.
