My mom has started to watch Doctor Who regularly. She hasn’t been a regular viewer since the 80s (Baker/Davidson).
I still do a lot of the same sort of writing as the kind that I used to post on my blog. Now they usually end up as verbose analytical notes in the office’s Google Drive, much to the consternation of my coworkers.

For work web dev I’ve switched from the Pixelbook back to the four(ish) year old, slightly water-damaged, MacBook Pro. The 2015 MacBook Pro really is a great machine.
Spending a few weeks primarily with ChromeOS has given me a newfound appreciation for MacOS, Gnome and Windows.

I’ve been using a Google Pixelbook (with Linux apps) as my main work device for a few weeks and I have two things to say:
- The hardware is really nice
- The OS is the single most unpleasant to use OS I’ve tried ever, and I used to run Slackware as my primary OS during my PhD
